Submit Your Photograph
It is really important to take a good scan of the photograph that you want to restore, therefore we recommend that you either post your original print to us or make an appointment to drop your photograph off at our studio.
If you would prefer to send a scanned copy of your photograph, please follow our scanning instructions to ensure that we receive the best quality image for us to carry out the restoration work on.
In all cases we will look at your photograph and examine the image, we will then provide a free no obligation quote before commencing any work.
By Post
We recommend place the photograph in a cardboard backed envelope and clearly write "DO NOT BEND" on the front.
Securely fasten the back with a piece of sellotape.

Please make sure you include your contact details including name, email address, phone number and return address with a cover note explaining what you would like and if you require the photo to be restored and saved as a file or if you would like a print.
When posting your original photos, I recommend using Special Delivery Guaranteed.
Original will be posted back by Royal Mail Special Delivery and the cost will be added to the final invoice. In the event that yu do not wish us to restore your photograph, return postage will still apply.

If you would like prints, please let us know what size you require and the quantity. We can also supply the files for download or on a disc.
Please double check your email address and make sure this is correct, otherwise we cannot reply.
In person
You can also drop your photograph off at our studio in Heanor. Due to the nature of our business, we would ask that you call us to arrange a convenient time as I could be out on a photography job or in the studio with clients.

For files under 20mb, you can send your clearly scanned image to: info@mervspencerphotography.co.uk
On the email please can you provide details of what work you would like carried out, if you would like an end result on a print or a disc. Don't forget to also include you name, email address, contact name and address details.
Cloud Services
For files over 20mb, we highly recommend using a file transfer system such as iCloud, Dropbox or WeTransfer.
When sharing your file, please use the email address info@mervspencerphotography.co.uk
When sending your files via these services, please remember to include what work you would like carrying out to the image, your contact name, number and email address along with your postal address. Please also let us know if you would like the end result to be a print or on a disc.
Scanning Recommendations
Photo restoration requires the original file to be high quality. When using a scanner ensure that the image is laid flat on the glass and the scanner is set to its highest setting.
When the scanner has finished, ensure that the image is sharp and in focus. Try and avoid a file format that will compress the image, best results are always TIF files.
